ABOUT US:
We are a small home-based cattery located less than an hour outside of New Orleans, LA., where we breed and raise beautiful Napoleon, Persian and Himalayan kittens. Our kittens have wonderful personalities and we treat them as family, until they go to their new homes. Our Kittens are raised underfoot in my home. All of our Moms and Dads have been tested and all are PKD (Polycystic Kidney Disease) and Feline Leukemia negative.
I am a Hobby Breeder at Sug R Babies Cattery. This means that I breed for the betterment of the Napoleon, Persian and Himalayan Breeds rather than the sole purpose of selling kittens.
Please see our Purchasing Info page for more information. I am certain after visiting our website and reading the information there, you will feel we are the right breeder for you.
I will never run a large cattery, and I do plan to keep a few cats in my home and breed a few litters a year for the pure pleasure and joy of it. I ONLY breed PEDIGREED Napoleons, Persians and Himalayans That means that I stay within the acceptable outcrosses for these applicable cat breeds.
All of our kittens are adopted or sold as pets. We will discuss Breeding rites with other Breeders.
Our Cats are housed in a healthy. clean environment with plenty of room for them to play! Our Cats live in my home, but I do have a Cattery segregation room for breeding, medical, and grooming purposes.
Why choose Sugrbabies Cattery?
We think we have some of the most beautiful Persian, Napoleon, and Himalayan kittens that can be found anywhere, and even more important, some of the most socialized kittens you can find. We like to think of our potential buyers as future friends and we always love hearing from them and seeing pictures of their kittens as they grow into beautiful cats.
Please take a look at some of our past litters and decide for yourself.
NOTE: Occasionally, we will have difficulty telling the sex of a kitten, as some of the Napoleons are still very small when they go to their new homes. We will do our best to tell you their sex, but we will not guarantee the sex of the kitten between the ages of 6 and 10 weeks old.
I RESERVE THE RIGHT TO REFUSE SALE OF ANY KITTEN TO ANY PERSON AT ANY TIME!
About Napoleons:
The Napoleon is a new breed - a hybrid breed which means they have crossed two existing cat breeds together to form a new look. Crossing the Munchkin breed (the original short-legged cat breed that looks like a domestic cat) with the Persian Breed Group (which includes Persians, the Himalayans, and the Exotic Shorthairs) resulting in a cat that is short-legged BUT....has the look - that sweet round face of the old timey "traditional" Persians of years ago.
They are produced in two versions - those that are called the "standard" which is the short-legged variety and the "non-standard" version which has that same sweet face but has a regular leg length. The short cute legs do not even begin to hamper mobility but it does encourage this little "prairie dog" perch that they are known for and they may have a bit of a waddle when they walk.
Napoleons are a people-pleasing breed with a sweet even temper, lively enough to entertain with their antics but at ease when lying on your lap.
When you breed for Munchkins some of the offspring might NOT inherit the Munchkin gene. These are called "non-standard" Munchkins but really they are not Munchkins at all and can never produce a Munchkin offspring.
For more information on the Napleon breed, or any of the breeds in the cattery, please visit the page on my website labeled "Pedigreed Breeder".
